Welcome to Strawberry Hill Photography Studio, a creative haven nestled in the charming Strawberry Hill neighborhood of Kansas City, Kansas. Our studio is designed with the discerning photographer in mind, offering a stunning backdrop of natural light and elegant hardwood floors that inspire creativity. We proudly open our doors to fellow photographers seeking a versatile space to bring their visions to life. With options to upgrade your experience, including access to large furniture, studio light rentals, personalized coaching from our seasoned owner, and a variety of workshops covering everything from model direction to mastering strobe lighting, Strawberry Hill Photography Studio is your ultimate destination for artistic exploration and professional growth.
Rates:
Basic studio rental is $50/hr with a two hour minimum. This is the barebones studio rental that is just the space itself. This does not include paper backdrops This does includes a variety of stools, wood chairs, apple boxes, C stands, light stands, V-Flats and a private changing area all in a year round climate controlled environment.
Add ons:
Seamless backdrop $15 for one color. $25 for two colors. Please communicate ahead of your session to verify available backdrop colors.
Light rental: $50 per session for up to two lights. If you have more advance lighting needs communicate that and we will work with you to bring your vision to life. The studio lights are Paul C Buff Alien Bees and the studio has universal triggers that will work for all camera brands so long as your camera has a hot shoe.
Light tech: $25/hr for those who want to explore studio lighting but would like someone on hand to support them to realize their creative vision.
Large Furniture: Large furniture are $50 per piece per session options include bedsets, peacock chair, chaise lounge, and couch options. Please communicate ahead of time your needs.
Studio Rules:
Be on time. If you are late, your session will still end at the designated time.
Maximum of 10 people in the studio. Communicate ahead of time if you have a larger group.
Absolutely no alcohol. tobacco, cigarettes, or drugs are allowed.
Studio management reserves the right to deny anyone studio access if they appear to be under the influence.
Volume of music and voices must be kept at a reasonable volume.
Respect the space. Clean up after yourselves and return items to their original location.
Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent of legal guardian.
Absolutely no: glitter, Tamarac powder, fire or open flames.
You must have exited the studio by the time your rental ends. For example, if your rental is from 2pm-4pm, you will be done shooting and have vacated the space by 4pm.
